How long does it take to recover from breast augmentation surgery?

It takes about 1 week off from work – no lifting, bending, or straining. If you have small kids get someone to help you with them. For 48 hours after surgery someone should be with you because the pain is worst the first 48 hours. Also, wear the after surgery bra recommended by your plastic surgeon – most doctors will allow you to exercise after 6 weeks – rest and relax, avoid stress.

How is breast augmentation surgery performed?
An incision will be made (usually under the breast or under the armpit or under the nipple), the implants placed over or under the chest muscles, and then the operation is over.

How long does it take to recovery from butt implant surgery?

It takes about 6 weeks.

What are some post surgery tips?

For the first two weeks, sleep on your stomach and avoid putting direct pressure on your buttocks. From weeks 3 to 6, use a cushion for your buttocks. Clean your buttock implant incision in the shower and then after with alcohol after each bowl movement, or at least once daily for the first two weeks after surgery.

How is butt implant surgery performed?

The implants can be inserted under each butt cheek or via the upper side of each buttock or through one incision in the butt crease (there is a high risk of infection via this route).

Jaw reduction using Botox costs about $1200 to $1600 every three months depending on how strong the muscle is. The botox injected into the muscles of the jaw causes them to diminish and hence the jaw looks smaller. Surgical jaw reduction is 5000k and up.

How is jaw reduction performed?

Through an incision inside the mouth, the jaw angle is sawed off. This changes the sharp acute angle of the jaw to a more round one.

Does jaw surgery have complications?
The main complication is potential injury to the mandibular nerve, which runs through the lower jaw and provides sensory readings for the lower lip and chin. If the nerve is injured, you will have numbness of the lower lip and chin.

How long is recovery after a tummy tuck?
Bed rest for two to three days is recommended following tummy tuck surgery. While in bed, your leg should be elevated in order to reduce the strain on the abdominal area. A support garment for the stomach area is also worn. Walking around after surgery is suggested to help circulation. Surface stitches will be removed in five to seven days, and deeper sutures will come out in two to three weeks.
What is surgery like

Tummy tuck surgery may take place in a time frame of two to five hours, depending on the extent of the repair. A partial abdominoplasty, or “mini tummy tuck,” should be shorter, generally taking one to two hours to complete.

How much is a facelift?

The price varies depending on the type of facelift.
A full face lift cost starts at $10,000. It is the most involved procedure. In a full face lift, the entire face and neck area is involved – sagging or loose skin folds that hang on the cheekbones, forehead, the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids, the lips, neck wattles and jaw. This lax skin can result in a fleshy appearance that ages the face. A full face lift cost starts at $10,000.
A mid face lift cost begins at $5000. Here, the emphasis is on the cheekbones and baggy skin under the eyes. Incisions for this cosmetic face lift can be made above the ear and near the corner of the eye, as with eye lift surgery. Sutures are used to hold the elevated tissue in place.

A lower face lift costs $5000 and up. This surgery tightens the drooping skin of the lower face and neck, making it more taut and firm. A scar will be left in front of the ear.
The cost of a Thermage face lift ranges from $1000 to $5000depending on how large an area is covered. In this procedure, there is a hand-held device which applies heat to the skin. This is said to stimulate collagen, which is essential to skin elasticity and texture.
A neck lift or cervicoplasty tightens the droopy skin of the neck or chin, to eliminate as much wrinkling as possible. Loose or sagging neck skin is sometimes referred to as turkey wattles due to its wrinkly appearance. A neck lift can also help to eliminate a double chin or jowls, as well as excess skin folds. The price of this procedure varies.

How long will it take me to recover?

Recovery time varies:

full face lift in 10 days to two weeks

patients who choose a mid face lift can expect about the same amount of recovery time

Patients who undergo an endoscopic face lift can return to work in as little as a day or two

thread face lift and mini face lift patients can expect about the same “weekend” recovery time.

You should expect postoperative swelling, numbness, and skin discoloration for about two weeks. Alcohol, saunas, and steam rooms should be avoided for several months. During the face lift recovery period, extra rest is very important to promote proper healing

What happens during facelift surgery?
Excess skin and fat are trimmed away through incisions that separate the skin from the underlying tissue.
Afterwards, the head and face will be loosely bandaged to help reduce swelling and bruising. Sometimes, a patient is left with a drainage tube to ease swelling.

Chin implant surgery costs 3000 – 5000k. Chin augmentation using injectables costs less due to the fact it does not require a surgical team, operating theater, etc.

How is chin implant surgery performed?

Chin augmentation procedures are outpatient procedures performed in a hospital or a surgery suite at your plastic surgeon’s office.

The chin implant procedure can be performed while the patient is under general anesthesia or local anesthesia. Local anesthesia is cheaper.

The surgery usually takes just under an hour. The plastic surgeon makes an incision inside the mouth, along the lower lip, or in the skin just beneath your chin. A pocket is created over the front of your jawbone to insert the implant.

How long will it take to recover from chin implant surgery?

At least 5 days are required for recovery. If injectable chin augmentation surgery was selected, then recovery time is often less.
Many chin implants are placed through the mouth, so efforts must be made to keep the mouth as clean as possible with Listerine after surgery. Liquid diets are also recommended until the incisions are healed. Never touch incisions with anything but a gloved finger. Keep your head elevated with pillows at night to relieve pressure from the treatment area.

It costs $300 and up.

What should I expect during a lip augmentation procedure?

Collagen injections – The collagen found in cow skin is used in collagen injections to temporarily augment the lips. Although it is purified, this collagen may cause allergic reactions in some people. For that reason, a sensitivity test should be performed before the procedure.

Collagen is injected into the lip with small needles. The results generally last between one and three months and may be repeated as needed.

Fat injections – Fat is injected into the lip. The fat is harvested from another area of the body (often the abdomen or thighs) and is purified before it is injected into the lips. There is no possibility of an allergic reaction. The results are temporary but usually lasts longer than collagen injections.

Artecoll injections – Artecoll is composed mainly of tiny synthetic beads (polymethyl methacrylate) that stay in the lips, and raise them. This technique lasts longer than fat or collagen injections.

Autologen injections – Autologen is collagen extracted from the patient’s own skin, often from excess skin removed in a facelift. The results are relatively long lasting with no risk of an allergic reaction.

Dermalogen injections – Dermalogen is extracted from the skin of a cadaver. The donor material is screened and processed to avoid the spread of disease. The effects are temporary, and are similar to the effects of collagen injections.

Fascia injections – Fascia (white connective tissue) extracted from a cadaver can be injected or surgically implanted.

HylaForm injections – Tissue made up of a molecular component of the human body. Extracted from a cadaver.

Restylane injections – Restylane is a clear gel; the hyaluronic acid in Restylane is similar to that naturally found in the body.

How long is the recovery time?

There is no down time. Recovery occurs the same day the procedure is done in the doctor’s office.
